Little Miss Blue Eyes

It was the first morning after the spring time change, cold and windy, but this sweet girl was a little trooper.  I saw this basket at Target and had the crazy idea of staging a hot air balloon ride.  Not an ideal prop in when Mother Nature is being temperamental, but we managed to get a few good shots.

I couldn’t decide, color or B&W on this image.  I loved it both ways.

Tutu time in the warm barn.

In her aunt’s fancy shoes and great grandmother’s pearls.

Just look at those eyes…beautiful!

I haven’t made one of these in a while.  A 20 x 20 poster available to purchase with print orders.

A big thank you to Abby at Combsberry Inn for allowing us to use the beautiful grounds and buildings.  PS…you make a great assistant, too!  I may have to hire you!;)

Hi there…My name is Laci Thorson, I am an a amature photographer from a small town in Idaho. I wanted to let you know that I saw your hot air balloon picture on pinterest and tried it out myself. It was the first time I had ever used balloons in a photography session. I think your idea was sooooo clever, great!….my shoot was not so cute (I guess that’s what I get for flat out copying) Anyway I just wanted to stop by your page and thnak you for inspiring me! I think you are a wonderful photographer with beautiful work.

Laci…that is so sweet of you. I’m really flattered. Balloons aren’t easy to work with outdoors. I’ve tried to duplicate that hot air balloon and it didn’t’ go so well. Good luck with your business!! Thank you for stopping by.
