Jackie & Justin {Annapolis Engagement Session}

Third time’s a charm.  After weather had forced us to reschedule this shoot more than once, we found ourselves downtown Annapolis with clouds threatening to unleash the Heavens.   I was more than a little stressed that we weren’t going to make it through without getting drenched with an incomplete session.  As soon as Jackie and Justin walked up with their adorable dog in tow, I immediately relaxed and knew it was going to be a great session.  Yes, they are gorgeous. What photographer doesn’t love shooting beautiful people?  But it wasn’t just their movie star good looks, it was the relaxed, easy smiles they were wearing.  A few frames in confirmed what I already suspected…the camera loves them and their natural, playful affection was going to make my job a breeze.

I caught a glimpse of Jackie’s wedding dress last week and got a little giddy, ok, a lot giddy that I’ll be photographing her in it next month!  I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.  The excitement, thrill and honor I feel to document the biggest day of a couple’s life.  Jackie & Justin…thank you for a perfect session.

The ring is stunning!!

Sweet girl…

The HMS Bounty was docked in Annapolis for a a few days.  Built by MGM Studios in 1960 for Mutiny on the Bounty with Marlon Brando, it made a beautiful backdrop. (Bounty was also used in other films including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest)

Cheers ~ Karena
